Dog Jacket "Penny" "Daisy" These two dogs were Katrina rescues born shortly after Katrina and before Rita. They were very scared and leary of humans. Penny went to the Academy of Canine Behavior and they suggested a jacket that just said, "In Training". This would help to get people to ask first before petting. This has so helped Penny and Daisy that for the most part now, they do not need their jackets as they have learned to be more trusting.

Care of the items -

Many of our products are made of polar fleece. This is a very durable material that does not lend itself to catching toenails or to rat chewing. However, if they are chewers, they may like the edging. The edging is made out of 100% cotton and will not harm them. During normal wear of anything made out of material, you may see loose threads, so please cut them off. Rattie toes can get caught in them.

Please wash these once a week or more to keep them clean for your rattie friends. Wash them as you would any colored cotton item, but please use an extra rinse cycle and avoid fabric softener so it will not irritate their sinuses. To be gentler on your washer and dryer, please remove the hooks first.
